Where things stand right now
Odoo 19 launched on September 18, 2025 at Odoo Experience, with rolling updates (19.1, 19.2, 19.3, and 19.4) following roughly every few months for Odoo Online customers. Odoo currently supports the three most recent major versions — meaning Odoo 17, 18, and 19 all receive helpdesk support, bug fixes, and security updates today. Odoo 20 is expected to take over as the newest supported version once it ships this fall.
Support doesn't end abruptly — but it does get more expensive
Odoo's standard support runs three years per major version. Beyond that window, extended support is available — on Odoo.sh, versions can be supported for up to several additional years — but Odoo has introduced a surcharge, starting in April 2026, for subscriptions running a version more than three major releases behind. In practice, this makes indefinitely staying on an old version a gradually more costly choice rather than a hard cutoff.
