Odoo 19 Adds 50+ Industry Packages And Built-In ESG Reporting

CWare Technologies 5 min read Odoo Release Notes

Odoo 19, unveiled at Odoo Experience 2025 in Brussels, didn't just add features to existing apps — it pushed hard into vertical, industry-ready configurations and, for the first time, built sustainability reporting directly into the platform rather than leaving it to a third-party add-on.

More than 50 ready-made industry setups

Odoo has been steadily expanding its library of industry packages — pre-configured combinations of apps, workflows, and sample data for a specific type of business — and Odoo 19 brought the total past 50. New or updated packages target businesses that previously had to stitch together generic modules by hand: construction, cosmetics retail, coworking spaces, dropshipping, eLearning platforms, electricians and other field-service trades, condominium management, bakeries, personal trainers and wellness centers, vineyards, agricultural machinery rental, and pet grooming, among others.

These aren't just labels. The condominium package, for example, adds owner history tracking, general-meeting reporting, and cost distribution based on meter readings, while the hotel, guest house, and campsite packages gained a dedicated "Steering" menu to monitor occupancy and availability at a glance.

  • 50+ industry packages spanning trades, hospitality, professional services, retail, and agriculture
  • New packages for environmental agencies offering ESG consultancy services
  • A built-in ESG app for tracking environmental, social, and governance metrics
  • Deeper localization coverage, including expanded tax, payroll, and invoicing support across dozens of countries

ESG reporting, built in rather than bolted on

The new ESG app is aimed squarely at businesses facing frameworks like the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). It centralizes environmental, social, and governance metrics in one place, with support for tracking direct emissions alongside broader Scope-level emissions categories, and social indicators such as gender pay gap reporting and departmental diversity statistics.

Worth noting: whether ESG reporting is a "nice to have" or a near-term requirement depends heavily on your jurisdiction and company size — CSRD thresholds, for instance, phase in differently across the EU. Treat this as a capability that's now available natively, not a signal that your business is necessarily in scope for mandatory disclosure.

Why the vertical push matters

For a lot of small and mid-sized businesses, the gap between "generic ERP" and "fits how we actually work" has historically been closed with custom development or a stack of third-party apps. A pre-built industry package doesn't remove the need for configuration, but it does mean starting from workflows Odoo has already built and tested for that vertical, rather than from a blank CRM and Inventory setup.

This article summarizes information published in Odoo's official 19.0 and 19.1–19.3 release notes and third-party coverage of the release. Package availability and specific ESG metrics can vary by localization and edition.
